Cohort 01 launches week 37 · 6 seats only

Mind & Code Builders Cohort

In four weeks you'll have built the thing you keep describing to people.

Six people. Four weeks. Live with me. You bring the idea you've been circling for months — you leave with it built, working, and yours. No coding. No design skills. No prior anything.

Small on purpose. I can only do this properly for six.

What's in the four weeks

Everything here exists to get one thing built: yours.

No library of videos to fall behind on. Four live sessions, a small room, and a project that's finished when we're finished.

  • The whole point

You finish with a real, working thing you made.

Not a folder of notes. Not a half-done tutorial clone. You walk in with an idea on week one and walk out on week four with it built, running, and in your own hands. That's the deliverable — everything else is in service of it.

Week four is a demo, not a lecture. You show us what you made.

  • 01 · Live

    4 sessions × 2 hours

Four weeks, one live session a week, two hours each. Cameras on, questions out loud, my screen shared the whole time.

  • 02 · Community

    Membership in Buzz

The private room where the cohort lives between sessions. Ask at midnight, get unstuck by morning. Support and people building the same week you are.

  • 03 · Guest

    A builder who shipped

One exclusive session with someone experienced who has actually put something into the world. What it cost them, what they'd skip, what they'd do again.

  • 04 · Resource pack

    The prompt & skills pack

The prompts, skills and reference material I actually use, packaged up. It's the shortcut past the part where you don't yet know what to ask for — so you can build advanced things from week one.

  • 05 · Proof

    Certificate of completion

Issued when you finish and demo your build — not for showing up. Something to put next to the thing you made.

The difference

Most people learn. You're going to build.

There's a gap between understanding how something works and having made one. Everything changes on the far side of that gap — how you talk about your work, what you charge for it, what you try next. Four weeks is enough to cross it, once, with someone watching.

The first thing you build badly is worth more than the tenth thing you read about.

Who this is for

You do not need to know how to code. That's the entire premise.

I built this for people who have an idea and no technical background — and who are quietly convinced that's a disqualification. It isn't. The skill you're missing isn't syntax. It's knowing how to think out loud with a machine until the thing exists.

If you can describe what you want clearly to another human, you have the raw material. I'll show you the rest.

If you've never opened a code editor, you're exactly who I wrote this for.

  • No coding experience needed. None. Not "a little helps".
  • No design skills needed — you'll get taste faster than you'd get Figma.
  • No maths, no computer-science background, no degree.
  • Nothing to install before week one. We set your machine up together.
  • No finished idea required. A rough one is enough to start.

Why now, specifically

The people who can build with AI are already being paid differently.

This isn't a prediction about the future. It's what the numbers already say about right now.

Pay premium for AI skills
+62%

Same job, same title, same desk. People with AI skills are paid 62% more than the person sitting next to them without. Two years ago that gap was 25%.

Companies that have actually scaled AI
7%

88% of companies say they're using AI. Only 7% have got it working across the business. The shortage isn't tools — it's people who can finish something.

John Mac

Who's running it

I'm John Mac. I build things for a living, and I'm self-educated.

I've run my own business since 2001, most of it building custom websites for people who couldn't afford to get it wrong. No degree, no bootcamp — I learned by shipping badly and fixing it in public.

Everything changed when I stopped treating the machine as a tool I had to master and started treating it as something I could think out loud with. I build [10x] more now than I did a year ago, and I write less code than I ever have. Four weeks is how long it takes me to hand that over to someone else.

Six people is small enough that I'll know what you're building by week two.

Four weeks from now

You'll either have built it, or you'll still be describing it.

That's honestly the whole choice. The idea doesn't get easier by waiting, and there are six seats in this room — four at $397, two at $550 with 1:1 time. When they're taken, the cohort is closed.
